The Preposition Train: Exploring "The Railway Carriage" in Motion During my B.Ed. internship , I wanted to make learning prepositions an engaging and interactive experience. Inspired by Robert Louis Stevenson’s poem "The Railway Carriage," I designed an activity called the "Preposition Train" —a creative way to teach grammar through movement and storytelling! Bringing the Poem to Life "Faster than fairies, faster than witches, Bridges and houses, hedges and ditches;" Just as the train in the poem rushes past different scenes , students can visualize prepositions by observing the movement of a train. Biweekly Reflection on Teaching Phase (Week 9-10) The past two weeks of my teaching internship have been a time of growth, learning, and adapting . Every day in the classroom brings new experiences, and I am continuously exploring ways to make my lessons more engaging and effective .   Fourth Biweekly Reflection on School Internship – Phase 1 at SMHSS, Kottara As I complete another two weeks of my Phase 1 School Internship at SMHSS, Kottara , I can feel how much I have grown as a teacher. These days have been all about learning, adapting, and connecting with students . I have gained more confidence in my teaching and found better ways to manage the classroom while making learning more enjoyable for my students. 📌 Week 7: Engaging Students in Learning By this time, I was more comfortable in the classroom, so I started experimenting with new ways to keep students engaged .
